Emergency callouts
Fill last-minute traffic controller shifts without the ring-around.
Someone calls in sick at 5am. Instead of working through your contacts one call at a time, send one callout to the workers you choose. The first to say yes gets the shift, and everyone else is told it’s filled.

One drop-out, an hour on the phone.
Filling a shift by hand means calling people one at a time: no answer, voicemail, expired ticket, already booked. Every drop-out can cost 30-90 minutes of calls before the job even starts.

Illustrative example data.
Four steps, and you only do the first two.
Start a callout
From the declined shift, choose how many workers you need and add the job details.
YouPick who to ask
CrewRing suggests workers ranked by distance to site and how often they’ve accepted before. Opted-out workers are left off.
YouSMS, then a call
Everyone you picked gets the details by SMS. Anyone who hasn’t replied within your timeout gets a voice call.
CrewRingFirst yes wins
The first acceptance fills the slot. Anyone who replies after that is told politely that it’s taken.
CrewRing
Ranked by distance and track record.
Every callout starts from your own worker list. CrewRing ranks the suggestions so the people most likely to say yes, and closest to site, are at the top.
Distance to site
Workers with a home location are sorted by how far they are from the site, with an optional maximum distance.
Callout history
Workers who usually accept rank higher. New workers start in the middle until they have a history.
Tickets on file
Each worker’s tickets and expiry dates sit on their profile, so you can check before you add them.

Common questions.
What if two workers accept at the same time?
Only one can get each slot. CrewRing locks the slot to the first acceptance it records; anyone after that gets a message saying the shift has been filled.
Can I choose which workers get the callout?
Yes. You pick the list. CrewRing suggests workers sorted by distance to the site or by how often they’ve accepted callouts before, and you can limit it to a maximum distance.
What if nobody replies?
Workers who haven’t answered the SMS within your escalation timeout get a voice call. You can also add more workers to a running callout at any time.
Can I fill more than one spot at once?
Yes. Set how many workers you need, and the callout stays open until every slot is filled or you close it.
Does it work at 5am?
Yes. A callout goes out the moment you start it, whatever the hour, and replies update your board as they arrive.
