Shift confirmation

Automated shift confirmation for traffic controllers.

Know who’s turning up before the job starts. CrewRing checks in with every worker the night before, follows up in the morning, and calls anyone who’s gone quiet, without you picking up the phone.

Why manual confirmation breaks down.

Most crews confirm tomorrow’s shifts with a group text and a ring-around. It works until it doesn’t, usually at 5am.

Group text and ring-around

  • One message to everyone, and no idea who actually read it
  • Replies scattered across your phone, WhatsApp and voicemail
  • Nobody follows up with the quiet ones until they don’t show
  • Hours of calls every week, and no record of who said what

With CrewRing

  • Every worker gets their own shift details, by SMS or voice
  • Replies are read automatically and land on one board
  • Non-responders get a reminder, then a call, on a schedule
  • Every message, call and reply is kept on record

From roster to confirmed crew, automatically.

Each worker, on the channel they actually answer.

Some of your crew live in their texts; others only pick up a call. Set a preferred channel per worker, along with their reminder times and quiet hours, and CrewRing uses it for every shift.

PRIYA Yep, I'll be there.

Confirmed, board updated

Replies in plain language, understood.

Workers don’t reply like a form. CrewRing reads the common ways people say yes and no, and asks again when a reply isn’t clear instead of guessing.

  • Tom W.Sure thing 👍Confirmed
  • Priya S.what time do we start again?Asked to clarify

Yes, in any form

“Yep”, “sure thing”, “ok see you there” all count as a confirmation.

No, handled immediately

A decline flags the shift on your board so you can start a callout straight away.

Unclear? It asks again

Anything ambiguous gets a follow-up asking for a clear YES or NO, and the original reply stays on record.

Common questions.

What time do confirmations go out?

By default, the evening check-in goes out at 18:00 the day before and the morning reminder at 06:00 on the day. Both can be changed per worker, or switched off, and quiet hours are respected.

What if a worker doesn’t respond?

They get the morning reminder. If there’s still no reply, CrewRing escalates to a voice call 30 minutes before the shift starts (configurable per worker). Anyone still unconfirmed is flagged on your board.

Do workers need to reply with exactly “YES”?

No. Replies like “yep”, “sure thing” or “can’t, sorry” are understood. Anything unclear gets a quick follow-up asking for a clear yes or no, rather than a guess.

Do workers need an app?

No. Everything goes out as plain SMS or voice calls to the number you already have for them.

What happens when someone says no?

The shift is flagged straight away, and you can start a callout to the workers you choose, ranked by distance and track record.

How is it priced?

Plans include a monthly allowance of calls and messages. See the pricing section on the homepage for current plans.

Stop wondering who’s showing up.

We’ll load your roster with you and run tomorrow’s confirmations through CrewRing, so you can see the board fill up yourself.
